Originally from Wyoming I first made my way to Costa Rica as a study abroad student. The Pura Vida way of life captured me and I made the move in 2011 to become an official beach resident in a small town in the Nicoya Peninsula.

Notes on Costa Rica

Adventures in Costa Rica

Wondering what Costa Rica offers in terms of adventures? I have made it easy and picked some of my favorites from the more moderate to the extreme, read on!

Samara Beach

Playa Samara experiences a dry season from December until April, making this the most popular time of year to visit, with the busiest time being Christmas and Easter week.

Let's get personal

Fun Fact about me:

My new favorite passion is pickleball and I am always willing to learn a new sport or activity.

Becka's favorite thing to do...

Walk the 6 miles of beach right outside my house with my big yellow dog who moved from Wyoming with me.

Top tip when traveling in Costa Rica:

The Costa Rican people are so open and friendly and always willing to meet new people. Make sure to get out of your comfort zone and go speak to some of the locals and share stories!

Recent Traveler Stories

Absolutely phenomenal. Our agent, Rebecca, was super helpful and nearly instantaneously responsive to all my questions. I was nervous about traveling with my elderly father and young child to a country where I do not speak the language. However, because travel, transportation, lodging and activities were so wonderfully appropriate and seamlessly planned it turned out to be one of the best and least stressful vacations I have ever taken. I cannot stop smiling whenever I think about the trip. I can not recommend them highly enough. On a side note, even if you have a fear of heights I would recommend zip lining! It was a life changing experience for me.
