Lagarta Lodge counts sustainability, social responsibility, art, and culture as its core values.</p><p>Lagarta Lodge has its art gallery highlighting local indigenous work, prides itself with strict policies on energy preservation and sourcing food locally. It consists of a private, 90-acre nature reserve where numerous birds, monkeys, anteaters, coatis, raccoons, iguanas, and crocodiles live. The reserve is open for guests to explore its trails or kayak its rivers, either independently or with a guide.</p><h3><strong>Boutique, Infinity Pools, And Dining</strong></h3><p>Lagarta Lodge's 36 rooms (26 junior suites and ten suites) feature natural color schemes, elegant furniture, and ocean views. They're all tastefully decorated with original artworks and come with A/C and fans to cool off. To underscore the hotel's environmental commitments and preserve aesthetic harmony, the rooms at Lagarta do not have TVs. Wifi is available, however, throughout the hotel, and each room comes with a tablet for guests to view hotel information and tours.</p><p>There are two infinity pools overlooking the ocean and an adult-only jacuzzi at Lagarta Lodge for guests to enjoy. And also a tower with a mirador overlooking the sweeping coastline for those Instagram moments. The Sunset Bar is a perfect place for afternoon cocktails. Nosara is also home to several different restaurants, so guests can feel free to explore and check them out for lunch or dinner. Breakfast is included in the nightly rate at Lagarta Lodge.</p><h3><strong>Nature Hikes, Beaches, And More</strong></h3><p>True to its wellness-inspired philosophy, the hotel's Spa Vista Manglares complex offers guests a range of personalized treatments and yoga, surrounded by giant trees and mangrove forests.</p><p>You’ll find plenty of beaches in Nosara. Playa Pelada is closest around 10 to 15 minutes away. Guiones, home of Costa Rica's best surf and sunsets, is also near. The hotel offers shuttle services to local beaches for guests who don't want to walk.</p><p>While life in Nosara focuses mainly on the beach and the surf culture of the community, there are other things to do here.
