Welcome to Andaz Costa Rica!
Part of the Hyatt portfolio of hotels, the Andaz brand is all about personal style. The word "Andaz" means exactly that - unique style - in Hindi.
Hyatt launched the Andaz brand in 2007, creating a collection of high-end, luxurious resorts worldwide, each focusing on art and design, each with a boutique, unique feel, and all the amenities plus attention to detail that makes the Hyatt brand so appealing to travelers.
Andaz Costa Rica could be the jewel in the crown of the entire Andaz portfolio. It's set on a hill overlooking the Gulf of Papagayo in Guanacaste province, just 30 minutes away from Guanacaste International Airport in Liberia.
The Andaz resorts pride themselves on vibrant hotel experiences, integration of local culture, and creative cuisine. The Andaz Costa Rica certainly delivers on that, with a fresh, modern design inspired by the local flora and fauna around the area.
Elegance and Style in the Tropics
With 131 rooms and 21 suites sitting on a hillside, offering spectacular views south over Culebra Bay, guests know they have their personal spaces and terraces - some with outdoor plunge pools - to relax in truly. Each room and suite offers a "treehouse feel" and comes with a modern, natural design.
Andaz also commits to environmental sustainability, ranked Level 5 (the highest possible ranking) in the Costa Rican Tourism Board's Certification for Sustainable Tourism program.
A Wide Range of Activities Available
You can certainly spend your time relaxing at Andaz Costa Rica, but there's also plenty to do for guests of all ages and abilities.
For those who want some physical activity, paddleboards and kayaks are complimentary in the calm waters of Culebra Bay. You can pick them up on the beach at the bottom of the hill. There are also tons of scheduled group activities on offer if you wish - arts and crafts, yoga, snorkeling, community projects, and many more.
You can even become a coffee expert with barista lessons or learn how to make the perfect cocktail with the expert mixologists at Andaz Costa Rica. Wildlife lovers can take a birdwatching tour with a guide around the property. They'll see and learn about plenty of tropical birds.
There's also a beach club available for guests, located on the other side of the bay, a 15-minute boat ride away. It's a great place for lazy, sunny beach days, with a restaurant and areas for relaxing.
If you want to stay indoors, there are also options for you. The full-service spa at Andaz is available for rejuvenating massages and treatments, and the 24-hour fitness center is open in case you want to keep your daily routine.
Foodie Heaven
Menu options showcase the best of Costa Ricaās heritage, combined with international favorites. Meals are prepared with the freshest local ingredients and expertise to provide a culinary journey during your stay.
There are two main restaurants at Andaz. Rio Bhongo is by the pool area, open all day and the breakfast buffet is a delight. Open only for dinner, Ostra Restaurant specializes in seafood. With a more intimate atmosphere, it also has a live ceviche station. Chao Pescao is the main bar, with a Latin American feel. The mixologists here work hard to create the most innovative drinks. Live music is often available. And then there's the beach club restaurant, Andaz Beach House. It offers a variety of dishes to enjoy, from salads and burgers to tropical drinks and grilled fish cooked outside.
Andaz has two infinity pools for guests to enjoy, one adult-only and one family-friendly. Whichever pool you're lounging next to, you'll find attentive staff happy to bring over food and drinks. Also, keep your eyes open to spot the monkeys and birds in the trees around the pools.
Guests with children aren't forgotten at Andaz Costa Rica. The Cambi Kids Club provides a space for children between 4 and 12 to make friends and have fun while you relax or maybe enjoy the spa. Babysitting services are also available for kids under 4.
