Unbeatable Beachfront Location
The resort is about as close to being beachfront as you can get in Costa Rica, with just a narrow road separating the property from the white sands of Playa Flamingo. You can be out of the pool and into the Pacific Ocean in less than a minute.
What an ocean it is - Playa Flamingo is famous for its sunsets, soft sands, and warm water. It's a Blue Flag beach, too. Flamingo is ideal for swimming, surfing, snorkeling, and sunset cruises.
Pure Relaxation in the "Pure Life" Country
The pool area is right at the front of the resort, a stone's throw away from the beach. Behind the pool, there's a vast, breezy lobby area, and guests will find relaxing hammocks all over the resort while being looked after by the attentive staff.

The main restaurant, Banana Wind, has a terrace overlooking the beach. Here, a breakfast buffet is served every morning, and it’s also open for lunch and dinner. The 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill is above Banana Wind, and it’s available for lunch and dinner.
The 5 O’clock Somewhere Bar, on the second floor of the main restaurant building, offers live entertainment a couple of nights a week. Here you can enjoy local musicians playing both national and international hits. Options vary, so ask for the latest schedule and line-up at the front desk!
The swim-up bar, License to Chill, is perfect for enjoying a tropical cocktail. It also offers snacks. Make sure to try one of the margaritas that give the hotel its name!
The second floor above the lobby area is Capriccios Pizza Bistro & Cafe. This restaurant offers freshly made Italian food for dinner.
All-Inclusive or Not?
Margaritaville offers an all-inclusive experience for guests, where food in any of the restaurants is included in the price. This and its family-friendly ambiance make it one of Costa Rica's most famous all-inclusive family resorts. Guests not opting for the all-inclusive option can also find several decent restaurants close to the resort, in Flamingo and next-door Playa Potrero.
