Sangregado Lodge

Upon arrival at Sangregado Lodge in Costa Rica's Arenal Volcano area, you'll see the main reception area and not much else. Next, the resort staff will take you to one of ten casita-like rooms hidden in the rainforest for maximum privacy.

Each villa or room is at least 20 feet from each other, giving the impression that your closest neighbor while staying here is the surrounding rainforest itself and the wildlife that resides within. The glass-fronted cabins make this sense of being at one with the forest even more acute. As a result, it's a perfect hotel for nature lovers.

The rooms and villas at Sangregado Lodge are all ultra-comfortable, kitted out in a modern, minimalist style. Think black and white decor with splashes of color here and there. The idea is to make the rainforest outside of that vast expanse of glass the main attraction.
