Welcome to Botanika!
The Botanika Osa Peninsula by Hilton is a true rarity on Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula. Opened in 2022, it's the very first (and so far, only) branded resort in this most remote and wild part of the country. Formerly the Crocodile Bay Resort, the hotel now renamed, rebranded, and refurbished to Hilton standards to provide a comfortable escape on the Osa Peninsula for guests of all types.
Located on over 40 acres of stunning tropical gardens adjacent to the waters of the Golfo Dulce and the Crocodile Bay marina, Botanika offers 43 air-conditioned rooms and suites, perfect for resting after a long day exploring the rainforests or enjoying the ocean.
Each room or suite comes with air-conditioning, a coffee/tea maker, free wifi, cable TV, and more. One thing you won't have to worry about while staying at Botanika is a lack of comfort - it might be in a remote part of Costa Rica, but this is still a Hilton Curio property!
A Remote Resort
Botanika is the most resort-like hotel on the Osa Peninsula. Guests will be able to enjoy and utilize a range of amenities, from the lagoon-style swimming pool to the jacuzzis, wellness center, kids club, and business center. They can also take advantage of the onsite kayaks, boogie boards, and paddle boards.
The concierge at Botanika is always on hand, and can help guests arrange their tours and excursions around this remote part of Costa Rica. The pristine rainforests and beaches of the Corcovado National Park are within easy access, as are the waters of the Golfo Dulce and Pacific Ocean. Botanika comes with its own deep-water harbor, which will serve as a hub for marine adventures like sport fishing and whale watching.
Other activities available at Botanika include volunteering experiences like sea turtle conservation, mangrove kayaking, and more.
Access to Puerto Jimenez
Botanika is also close to the community of Puerto Jimenez - the hotel offers a quick shuttle service to and from town - so guests can also check out local shops and restaurants if they wish. This is a rare thing on the Osa Peninsula, where most hotels are far more isolated in the middle of the rainforest.
And talking of eating out, the hotel comes with its very own Tierra a la Mesa restaurant. Tierra a la Mesa serves traditional and innovative land-to-table and fresh seafood dishes. There's also the Driza bar, perfect for cocktails and sundowners with its own modern menu that includes tapas, ceviche, Peruvian-style ātiraditos,ā healthy fresh salads, and the best burgers in town. Breakfast is included in the nightly rate at this hotel.
