Day 9: A Trail Through the Rainforest Treetops

Day 11: Boat Trip to Monteverde
Monteverde’s cloud forest is a volcano and a lake away from Arenal. The fastest way is to cut through it instead of skirt it.
Hop on a boat and take a scenic route across the lake with the Arenal Volcano in the background. Then a van picks you up to take you to the other side and into your hotel near the cloud forest.

Day 12: Coffee and Chocolate Tour
Explore a local coffee and chocolate plantation to learn about some of Costa Rica’s most iconic products and their historical importance.
First learn about the processes behind the country’s coffee production, and then participate in the making of chocolate from cocoa beans. Finish the experience by trying out the chocolate and coffee you’ve seen throughout the day.

Day 12: Monteverde Cloud Forest Tour
Located along the Cordillera de Tilarán Mountain Range, the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve spans over 10,500 hectares of tropical forest and rich biodiversity.
A van drives you from the hotel to the reserve. Your local naturalist guide takes you on a three-and-a-half hour nature tour through the mountainous forest, where you will experience nature’s incredible interconnectivity.

Day 14: The Road to Manuel Antonio

Day 15: Manuel Antonio National Park Tour
Despite being the smallest national park in Costa Rica, it has been consistently listed as one of the 12 most beautiful parks in the world.
In this guided tour, an English-speaking naturalist points out everything, from the famous white-faced monkey to brilliantly colored birds. Spend the rest of the day sunbathing at some the region’s most exclusive, untouched beaches.

Day 16-17: Free time in Manuel Antonio
