Sapoá River Expedition
A Real Guanacaste Horseback Experience.
Horseback riding has never been so unique. You’ll be experiencing the Guanacaste of old as you ride through private “sabaneros”. Sabaneros are the plains and farmlands that border the Hacha Sector of the Guanacaste Conservation Area. You’ll experience astonishing views of the Orosi Volcano and be immersed in the incredible dry tropical forest as you and your horse make your way to the Sapoá River.
Our expedition leaders will escort you through this journey and take you to one of the few rivers in Costa Rica that flows all the way from the Pacific region to the Caribbean Sea. Enjoy yourself in these waters and maybe undergo the incredible experience of swimming with a horse to cross the river. (Weather permitting.) Ideal for nature and horse lovers.
