The ‘Adventure Park’ day pass is perfect for:

Families, groups, and couples who want to experience an adventure-packed day.

Diamante Eco Adventure Park is an adventure center near Matapalo Beach. Visit to experience a series of thrilling adventures, including:

  • Zip lining with ocean view & a free-fall platform
  • A wildlife sanctuary
  • Watersports at the beach: kayaking, snorkeling, stand-up paddling.
  • Extra activities like ATVing and horseback riding

In addition, you get access to the cultural and botanical tours to learn more about Costa Rica’s history and traditions. There are a variety of day passes that allow you to enjoy the property and the activities here. To allow a more personalized experience, you can purchase all of them individually.

In addition, the park has an internal transportation system, three food centers, and top-of-the-line facilities. Don’t miss out and experience one of the best tours in Guanacaste!

Canopy with Ocean View

Start the day of adventure with some zip lining. There are a total of five zip line cables and one 30-feet free-fall platform. Get fitted with your gear, practice in a short line first, and then do their Superman line. It’s a 4461-ft-long trip that offers ocean views while you descend.

One of the best perks is that the zip line has an automatic braking system, allowing you to pay full attention to the trip without any worries. Finish the trip by crossing over the hanging crocodile bridge, and get ready for the sanctuary.

An Animal Sanctuary at the Adventure Park

After admiring the crocodiles, it’s time to walk around the rest of the sanctuary. It’s one of the largest rescue centers in Guanacaste, and it protects several species recovered from a variety of difficult situations. There are jaguars, sloths, ocelots, toucans and other birds, monkeys of different kinds, reptiles, frogs, a butterfly garden, and more.

Get up and close with these creatures and learn about their habits and characteristics. The enclosures are designed to imitate the natural environment of each species as much as possible, and there are over a dozen licensed biologists ready to answer any questions you may have.

If you want to see a specific animal being fed (like the sloths), it’s best if you head to the sanctuary first time in the morning before doing anything else. Ask about feeding times to make sure your on the right place at the right moment, as they may change throughout the month.

Explore Costa Rica’s Culture & History

Diamante has dedicated a large portion of its property to preserve native forests and vegetation species. The cultural experience at their Traditional House is a way of getting close with Costa Rican cultural and natural history.

Walk around the botanical and medicinal gardens, and learn from enthusiastic connoisseurs about coffee brewing techniques, sugar cane extraction processes, and meal prepping. You even get to try out some of these centuries-old practices for yourself!

Water Sports & Relaxation at the Beach

Once this part of the trip is done, head to Mata Palo Beach. Here there’s a hammock where you can relax and complimentary access to different water activities. Kayaks, stand-up paddles, and snorkeling gear are all available to play in the water and explore the coastline. Spend the remaining of the day lounging in the sand and enjoying the beach.

More to Do: A Jungle Course, Horses & ATVs

The rest of the park is composed of different trails that take you up and down forests, gardens, and farmlands. If you prefer to stay close to the main facilities, there is a jungle exercise course near the botanical garden to spend some time playing among ropes and testing your balance.

If you want to keep on exploring, there are a couple of extra activities that you can participate in.
Rent a horse or an ATV and follow a guide along the hills and beach to experience the area from a different perspective.
