I was born in a little town in Ohio and moved around the US quite a bit as a child. My family settled in Raleigh, NC when I was a teenager. That is where I finished high school and graduated from NC State a few years later. After college, I played around with the idea of teaching abroad. Then one day, my mother surprised me with flights to come check out Costa Rica. She wanted to check out it too, and make sure it was safe. We came down and I fell in love with the Costa Rican way of life. Being outdoors, having close relationships with family and neighbors, and just the slower pace really appealed to me. After a year of teaching, I found the best job in the world, planning vacations for other people to come down and experience this amazing little country. I have been with Costa Rican Vacations since 2010. Several years later, I met my husband and we welcomed our first child in 2019. Costa Rica completely changed my life in an amazing way, and it is a privilege to be able to share this beautiful little country with others.

Would recommend to use CR Vacations with no hesitations. Completely professional service that worked to meet our desires. More importantly with a long holiday things can happen and that’s when you learn how good CR Vacations becomes. More below to explain.Decided on a 30 day first visit to Costa Rica. Decided to ask CR Vacations to help utilizing Anastasia experience. Since we’ve never been to CR, help was needed and they delivered.Started at Tulemar resort. Located near Manuel Antonio rain forest and close to Quepos fishing town. MA is a not to miss location. Hired a guided tour which was fantastic. Several sightings of birds, monkeys, bugs, flowers and even a Sloth holding her baby. Amazing! (See picture must look closely). Then went fishing for Rooster fish. Great fighting fish! Pound for pound a real fight!Next stop Tamarindo beach area. We stayed at Cala Luna boutique hotel. People were great. Don’t miss happy hour at beach and the farm to table dinner. Well worth experience. For us, the town of Tamarindo was a tourist location but the beach experience should be a part of a CR visit.Next we moved to Las Catalinas. The spot is similar to visiting a Four Seasons resort. Exceptional service with all amenities commensurate to a 5 Star resort. There’s a restaurant that can not be missed, Sentido Norte. Wow!! Views to die for!CR Vacations organized the entire trip with one mishap. The vacation portfolio showed all events and locations for our trip. Accidentally they showed our room at Las Catalinas as a 2 bedroom suite with pool. We received a one bedroom suite with excellent views. Of course we said “wrong room” but it turns out they mistakenly put wrong pictures and descriptions that were different than actual room. Everyone tried to help but the resort was booked. But the room was great and frankly we were fine. CR Vacations tried to do everything and even offered us $$ compensation for mistake but we were happy and wanted to enjoy our vacation. We believed it was an honest mistake. Then at checkout we discovered CR Vacations took care of all our incidentals. What?! We thought that was a wonderful deed that wasn’t needed. Well done!

A friend referred us to Costa Rica vacations, and I'm glad we used them. They were excellent to work with and helped us choose a vacation that was fantastic. Everything was great, literally everything was great.Anastasia McCulloch was our travel consultant and she is amazing to work with. She helped us select everything that we wanted to do and where we wanted to stay. This was our first time visiting Costa Rica, so we really didn't know much about the country but we kind of knew what we wanted to do. Anastasia made our vacation fantastic. We were greeted at the airport, we had drivers who were knowledgeable about the country that took us to our destinations. Tours were set up with excellent local companies who made the tours great. Or hotels were fantastic clean and nice. Everything was absolutely great!
