There are 137 species of snakes in Costa Rica, and 22 of those are poisonous. At the Serpentarium, you will find an excellent display of terrariums where you can view and learn about different species such as corals, boa constrictors, rattlesnakes, and jumping pit vipers. You will be able to appreciate over 40 species including venomous and non-venomous snakes.
Even if snakes aren’t your thing, you may want to see some of Costa Rica’s famous tree frogs while you are here. It can be a bit hit-or-miss in the jungle! But at the Serpentarium, you’ll be guaranteed viewings of poisonous frogs, toads, lizards, and turtles.
