Offshore Fishing Tour

All-Inclusive Fishing Fun along Panama's Tuna Coast

Panama’s ¨Tuna Coast¨ does not disappoint with the area’s nickname given by local fisherman as a reference to the water’s abundance of fish. Head out early morning in your captain´s panga to try to hook a variety of tuna, mahi-mahi, snapper, amberjack, bonita, roosterfish and even marlin. Spend a day west of Pedasí in the town of Cañas, where we dock the boat at the inlet of Cañas Island and have the possibility of catching all sorts of fish species in this mix of both fresh and saltwater. Isla Cañas is also the most important nesting site for turtles on Panama’s Pacific Coast: five species come here to lay between 20,000 – 30,0000 eggs in the waves each year. Spend another day heading out towards the white sand island of Isla Iguana, or the Frailes Islands for the first catch of the day. Take your lunch break on the island and see if you can catch a glimpse of some of its beautiful wildlife, with Isla Iguana infamous for its abundance of iguanas and hermit crabs.
