White Water Rafting in Manuel Antonio
Enjoy ultimate fun as you head down Savegre River rapids in sturdy rafts designed for groups of 2 to 6 people. If you want a break from paddling through Savegre’s Class II, III and IV rapids, guides will stop at locally known swimming spots and breathtaking water falls, and there is always time to enjoy the abundant variety of wildlife along the river. Observe egrets, osprey, toucans, parrots, kingfishers, cormorants, and many other species local to this protected area of the Manuel Antonio’s primary tropical rain forest. After a steady 13 mile trip down the river, wind your way back to the little village of “Silencio” where a Tico style hot lunch and local refreshments are waiting for you. Or, experience a Class III/IV half day challenge, designed for more skilled paddlers. The Naranjo River drops from the mountains above Quepos, through a beautiful jungle gorge and takes you on a wild ride to sea level passing nearby farmlands and palm plantations.
