The Rincon de la Vieja National Park hiking tour takes you through this ancient forest at the foot of the park's volcano. You will discover temporal waterfalls, the volcano's geothermal wonders, huge trees that hide spider monkeys, leaf-cutter ants, toucans and all kinds of great and small creatures. The hike lasts about 2 hours and the tour is half a day starting at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m.

This tour includes round-trip transportation, English speaking guide and lunch. Bring hiking shoes, long pants or shorts, T-shirt, hat, camera, binoculars, sunscreen, insect repellent and rain gear.

Transportation is available from Flamingo, Tamarindo, Conchal, Sugar Beach, Playa Grande, Papagayo, Playa del Coco, Playa Hermosa, Ocotal and Playa Panama. Child rates are available. Tours do not run on Mondays.
