The tour begins with a 20 minute drive in a comfortable air conditioned van to the lower Peñas Blancas River. 

We will launch an inflatable raft on the calmer parts of the river, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful 2 hour float on the tranquil waves with no motor surrounded only by nature’s beauty.   Our knowledgeable guide will point out and explain the region’s flora and fauna.

Next, we will visit Don Pedro’s farm.  This fascinating man spent years on what was considered worthless farmland without electricity, roads or running water.  Our guide will translate his captivating stories, and explain the medicinal qualities of the rainforest’s plants.

After this remarkable encounter, we will bask in the sun for another 40 minute float to Boca Arenal.  You will have the opportunity to witness the captivating scenery and to learn about the vast agricultural system of San Carlos Country.

We will provide you with door to door air conditioned minivan transport, a certified bilingual guide, coffee, lunch and drinks.  We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, running shoes or sandals and bringing camera, binoculars, a rain poncho and insect repellant.  We offer tours from 7:30AM to 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00PM
