After arriving to the trail head, you will spend about 1/2 hour in the rain forest following the El Silencio Trail, which takes you through a primary Tropical Rain forest facing the Arenal Volcano. Your knowledgeable guide will point out wildlife and plants while explaining their contribution to the delicate eco-system.

As it grows dark, we will visit the observation point which allows the clearest and closest view of lava flow. Here, you can enjoy the mesmerizing sights and sounds of the volcano and surrounding wildlife as you relax and enjoy a drink. You may choose to end the tour here, or you can continue on for a relaxing 3-hour visit to the thermal hot springs. This is considered one of Costa Rica’s top attraction and one of the most exquisite experiences in the world.

You may choose to do only the hike, hike and Baldi Hot Springs, hike and Ecotermales and dinner or the hike and a visit to the Tabacon Resort Spa with a buffet dinner. We will provide you with door to door air conditioned minivan transportation, a certified bilingual guide and drinks.We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, running or hiking shoes and bringing a camera, binoculars, a rain poncho and insect repellent. The tour departs twice a day at 8 a.m. or 3 p.m.
