About Me: I came to Costa Rica for the first time in 2007 for a study abroad in college. During my semester studies, I also had the opportunity to travel throughout Panama and learn the history behind the Panama Canal and stay with the Kuna Indians on the San Blas Islands. I came back to Costa Rica in 2010 after my time in Peace Corps Honduras & stayed because of the warm climate, adventure activities & beautiful landscape. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, playing softball with a women's Costa Rican league, playing volleyball, diving, horseback riding, doing yoga, & spending time with my new boxer pup, Fenix.
My Favorite Thing: What I love about Costa Rica is the diversity it offers with its natural landscape. Any given weekend I can spend whitewater rafting Pacuare, waterfall rappelling at Arenal, canopy zip-lining in Monteverde, snorkeling/diving Cano Island, hiking Rio Celeste, turtle nesting in Tortuguero, watching the monkeys in Manuel Antonio, camping in Savegre, fishing the Pacific, or sipping a cocktail in front of a Guanacaste sunset! As for Panama, I love the accessibility to historical sites and cultural opportunities while surrounded beautiful, blue waters.
My Top Tips: Get outside your hotel & explore the culture, scenery, and local restaurants. Don't sweat the small stuff like logistics because that's my job! This is your opportunity to make the most of your vacation by doing something different and exploring new opportunities. So make sure to get out there & do something different while enjoying these beautiful countries!
