Day 1: Take a private shuttle from the San Jose International Airport en route to La Mansion Arenal, where you'll stay in your own private cottage in front of Lake Arenal. Take in the gorgeous views of the volcano and relax enjoying a drink in your private terrace.
Day 2-3: During the next two days you will see one of the world's most active volcanoes close up. First, take a hike to the base of the rumbling giant. Your guided hike will take you over cooled lava fields as you discover the natural wonders around you. The tour ends in a relaxing soak in natural thermal hot springs at the Tabacon Resort. Then, get your adrenaline pumping on class III and IV rapids on the Rio Toro white-water rafting-tour through the jungle.
Day 4: Today you will take a short flight to Quepos on the Central Pacific coast, where you'll stay at the Gaia Hotel & Reserve, set on a hillside overlooking the bay of Manuel Antonio. Day 5-6: Your next two days are filled with the perfect balance of fun and relaxation. First, get to know the Manuel Antonio National Park on a guided tour with a local naturalist who will point out exotic birds, monkeys, sloths and a wide variety of marine life. You can spend the rest of the day lounging in ocean coves while observing the colorful wildlife. Next, take a canopy zip-line tour that will have you flying through the jungle between 21 platforms. You can also try the Tarzan swing and 3 rappel lines.
Day 7: Enjoy a change of scenery as you take a short private transfer to the coastal town of Esterillos where you'll stay at the beachfront Xandari by the Pacific. This eclectic hotel is decorated with custom made mosaics, murals and artwork. You'll relax in your own villa while enjoying direct access to the ocean and beach.
Day 8-9: It's time to relax! These days are yours to spend as you like, lounging by the pool or on the warm beach and enjoying the healthy hotel cuisine.
