Beautiful, will be the finest in Arenal

Knowing that The Springs is the sister hotel of Peace Lodge, we knew it was going to be great. The pictures we saw on the website made the property look good, however upon arrival what we saw was something even better. The hotel has a very natural feel throughout with lots of wood, plants and stained glass.

The rooms all have volcano views and no expense has been spared on the bathrooms, linens etc. There are king beds in each room and some of the suites have a 2 tier level room with king upstairs and one downstairs.

The resort has 2 springs of which one is private for guests only. All of the pools are filled with natural spring water, some heated others not.

The dining facilities are 5-star and the chef produces some great food!! The Ventanas restaurant is where you should dine if you are looking for something more formal.

I would highly suggest this for anyone as it really will blow you away.

The Springs cause a Storm in Arenal!

The Springs is a magnificent structure set back amidst the trees and fields opposite the Arenal Volcano. It is not far from the town of La Fortuna, however it did feel far away as it is reached by a private 3.5 km road that is not very smooth! We were told this road is going to be redone very soon, along with the rest of the construction.

As The Springs is brand new, some parts were incomplete when we visited including the Casino and Games level, the male spa and many of the rooms. Most of the hotel will be completed by December 2008 by which time I imagine it will be an amazing location to take in the sights of the Arenal Volcano.

The rooms are large and well-made, the swimming pools and slides are fantastic and great for those who love to splash around! What impressed me was the fact that the grounds are so vast and therefore encourage natural guests to visit! While there we saw an armadillo just walking past and there are plans to create a wildlife centre and tours to see the big cats they have roaming around the private fields.

The hotel was built with the volcano in mind and it is something which strikes you from the moment you enter the reception, with sensational open views!

The Springs seems ideal for families but i also think they can cater for all travelers; there is so much on offer be it a Spa, a swim or just a spot of roulette, there will be something here to suit you!

I believe when this hotel is complete it will be a great place to spend the day as there will be so much to do on site you may not want to leave! My only concern would be that it does not feel like a very natural way to experience one of Costa Rica's great sights - but this may be the point, when you stay at The Springs you will know what you're paying for and that will include everything you need!

Cream of the crop!

From the moment I drove through the grand entrance at this resort I was blown away. Every detail was considered. The whole hotel is decorated with ornate metal fixtures, fine marble, and beautiful wood floors. This hotel has everything that you could possibly ask for. The main building is five stories and includes a floor for 5) Reception 4) Two restaurants and a bar 3) Separate spas for women and men divided by a huge gym. 2) A 5-star casino and 1) The dressing rooms for the hot springs.
What did you like most about this Hotel?
I like how the whole hotel is designed to have spectacular views of the Arenal Volcano.
What did you dislike most about this Hotel?
The hotel is pretty big. If your looking for a quiet stay in Costa Rica this is probably not for you.
