I love La Mansion Arenal Inn. This is my favorite hotel in Arenal and I just had a fabulous weekend with my husband there. We were looking to get away from it all, and that is certainly what we did. La Mansion is a bit rustic and a bit eccentric, but in some way it all works together to give you a unique experience. I love the privacy, no one could see our patio, so we would step out onto the patio with our pajamas to drink our morning coffee enjoying the view. La Mansion is about 40 minutes from La Fortuna, but from tours and hot springs at most 30 minutes and the drive is beautiful. The food is excellent, although with a simple presentation, it seems to work together to create an incredible dish and I can't say enough about the complete breakfast included in the rates. If you are looking to get away and relax, this is the place by the lake.

La Mansion Arenal is by far my favorite hotel in the Arenal area.
They offer nice private cottages with an amazing view of the Arenal Lake.
All the cottages have the same amazing view but if you upgrade you even have a Jacuzzi in your room.
Some of the deluxe cottages come with two bedrooms which is perfect for families.
La Mansion Arenal is a small boutique hotel with excellent service. The owners
are great and it's like you are a guest at their house. But of course you have your privacy as well..
The restaurant is very good too, especially breakfast !!! Right next to the hotel are two
Tico restaurants so you can also dine out and get some Costa Rica flavour if you like too.
What I also liked is the fact that they offer kayaks so you can enjoy yourself on the lake.
The fishing here is excellent and the owners can arrange some great prices with the local fisherman.
Don't miss out on this unique experience if you're looking to visit the Arenal area.

I was not expecting too much of the hotel as it did not have a volcano view, however I can say now with a big smile and a warm belly that this hotel was beautiful and a must for anyone looking to be away from the hustle and bustle of the Arenal area. The hotel has small private cottage with their own beautiful gardens full of humming birds and toucans.
Breakfast was the best we had in Costa Rica with fresh bread, pancakes, cereal, and tropical fruits. There is not lunch at the hotel however you have the local soda next door and toad hall. Normally though we were on tours which provided lunch so this was no issue.
The rooms need to be aired slightly more or the AC put on before arrival as the rooms were kind of musty, but this went away after like 1 minute.
I would suggest the Honeymoon Suite with the Jacuzzi as this is extra special and private. This property is great for all types from families who can use the pool and hot Jacuzzi to couples who can enjoy the quiet and tranquillity.
