Rough and Smooth
7 Nights from $3,818* per person (double occupancy)

Day 1: Fly to the San Jose international airport. Upon arrival you will be met by one of our representatives, where your itinerary will be explained and questions answered. You will also be provided with a packet of vouchers and information about your trip. From the airport you will be transported via limousine to the hotel Real InterContinental. Located amid tropical gardens, the Real InterContinental Costa Rica hotel is close to an array of businesses, stores, movie theaters and fast-food restaurants and faces the modern Multiplaza Mall. Stay in a junior suite complete with master bedroom with king bed, separate living room, and bathroom with Jacuzzi.

Day 2: Fly from the San Jose Airport and take in the scenery while en route to Quepos (private charter available). From Quepos you will have a short transfer to the remote Rafiki Safari Lodge. This luxury tent camp is nestled on 700 acres deep within the pristine Savegre River Valley. The South African inspired safari tents are situated on hardwood decks and provide you an intimate encounter with nature while enjoying the basic comforts of a hotel room. Stay in the honeymoon suite which provides you a more private tent with Jacuzzi.

Day 3: Ready for excitement?  Go whitewater rafting on the Savegre River, a Class II/III half day challenge for more experienced paddlers. The Savegre drops from the mountains above Quepos, through a beautiful jungle gorge and takes you on a wild ride to sea level.  While on the river, you'll be passing nearby farmlands and palm plantations; the scenery is unforgettable.

Day 4: Take a horseback riding tour through the mountains (approx. 5 hours). Enjoy the natural beauty of the landscape. What to bring: long pants, good walking shoes, insect repellant, sun block, and a camera.

Day 5: Just when you were getting used to "roughing it" in the rainforest, it's time to hit the beach! You will be transported to Manuel Antonio, where you will stay at the ultra luxurious Gaia Hotel. The Gaia Hotel achieves an ideal blend of modern amenities and natural scenery. Nestled in the magnificent coastal forests of Costa Rica, the hotel's well-appointed, terraced suites and villas offer views of lush and pristine wild surroundings that are beyond compare. Stay in their luxurious 1,100 square foot Gaia Suite. Complete with top of the line king size bed, two LCD flat screens, cable TV, wireless internet, stereo equipment, sofa bed, mini-bar, central air conditioning, Jacuzzi tub, private pool, of course, your personalized valet service, you are guaranteed to have a "smooth" stay!

Day 6: Spend this time exploring the area or just relaxing in the hotel's multi-level pool with cascading waterfall.

Day 7: Take a private Yacht Cruise! During this afternoon sailing adventure find yourself aboard a classic yacht cruising down the scenic coast. Pass by the beautiful beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park and view the breathtaking sunset.  Along the way you may see dolphins and other sea creatures. The cruise includes transportation, gourmet dinner and dessert, refreshments, and a bilingual guide.

Day 8: Transport to Quepos Airport for a domestic flight to San Jose (private charter available) where you'll await your flight home.
