Nestled deep within the unspoiled rainforest outside of Manuel Antonio sits Rafiki Safari Lodge, one of the most unique properties in all of Costa Rica. This luxury tent camp consists of ten tents imported from South Africa . The tents are set atop hardwood decks complete with rocking chairs in order to relax and admire the wonderful view. Rafiki Safari Lodge was designed to let you experience nature first hand while still enjoying modern comforts. Large windows allow the sights, sounds and smells of the rainforest in while the canvas walls keep the insects out. A full, modern bathroom complete with fire-heated, spring water shower is found in each unit.

The main lodge, or rancho, serves as the restaurant, bar and tour center. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the restaurant. Don't miss the delicious South African BBQ cooked on the grill. The bar is fully stocked and possesses an indoor waterfall. The rancho and it's furnishings were completely handcrafted from local woods. A distinctive mix of Costa Rican and South African art are found throughout. Here at the rancho you will also find the beginning to an amazing waterslide which drops down to the pool 100 feet below. A natural stream supplies the water for the pool and also for the hydroelectric system used to power the facilities. Activities at Rafiki include white water rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, bird watching and hiking.

There is one honeymoon suite found at Rafiki Safari Lodge. This tent is located at a distance from the rest of the hotel in order to provide for a secluded and romantic experience. The honeymoon suite features a comfortable bed and private Jacuzzi.
