Playa del Coco
Playa del Coco or Coco Beach is fast becoming a popular destination for visitors to Costa Rica. With superb restaurants and an active nightlife it suits all types of travelers. Many choose the town as base for their Costa Rica vacation thanks to its beautiful views, close proximity to the Liberia International Airport and the convenience of having everything you might need available in the center of town.
Indeed, the town is the closest beach to an International airport in the entire country, but can still claim the tranquil ambiance of a fishing village. All this, and the town is also within a 5 minute drive from some of Guanacaste’s gorgeous, pristine white sand beaches. A chartered boat ride from a tour service or local fisherman will allow you to explore nearby islands and coves and inlets that are truly inaccessible by land. There are currently plans to build a Marina in Coco which will create jobs and bring in foreign investment for locals.
