Dolphin Island Lodge is located on Uaguitupo Island,
a private
Island directly across from the indigenous Kuna island community of Achutupo
feels miles away from civilization, but is just a 45-minute flight from Panama City. Upon arrival,
clients will be met at Achutupu terminal, then transferred to the
lodge by a motorize dugout canoe, located five minutes from the beach.
After settling in, breakfast will be served at the dining room.
Lunch and dinner will feature delicious, fresh seafood from the area.
The
Lodge has just nine wood cabins, built with a touch of Kuna style. All
cabins are equipped with comfortable queen sized beds,
showers and toilets. Power is generated from 6:00am to 8:00pm.
A small court in the center of the Lodge for volleyball or a BBQ,
makes for an enjoyable stay. During the morning you can relax and
lay in one of the hammocks tied between
the palm trees and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this
beautiful spot.
Guided
tours are included with your stay. On one of these days, you
will depart by motorized dugout canoe for a 3-minute trip across the water to Achutupo,
a real working Kuna village. Enjoy a guided tour of
this island settlement to observe the Kuna lifestyle and culture.
You can also purchase the famous Kuna textile panels known as molas and other handicrafts. After the walking tour, guests,
return to the Lodge which is followed by lunch. Also, visits to
neighboring beaches are scheduled during your stay.
