Day 1 - Welcome to Panama! Upon your arrival you will be greeted by one of our representatives who will then take you to Los Cuatro Tulipanes, an excluisve boutique hotel in downtown Panama City. Located in the culturally wondrous zone of Casco Viejo, the hotel will provide you with the perfect spot from which to head out and explore a bit. Check out the restaurants and bars nearby, or if you feel like staying in, your suite has all the amenities of a private apartment. Make yourself at home!
Day 2 - Prepare yourself for a truly unforgettable experience as you go on a tour of Casco Antiguo and the Amador Causeway in the Panama Canal. Casco Antiguo has been declared world heritage by UNESCO and with reason: the preserved colonial architecture and historical sites make it seem like a portal to the past. Be sure to ask your guide as much as you want to know, as this part of town is rich with legends and anecdotes. Then head out to the monumental Panama Canal, with luck you might be able to catch a ship or two as it makes its way across the continent. Later go back to your suite at Los cuatro Tulipanes.
Day 3 - Take a short taxi ride to Albrook Airport where you will pick up your rental car. Drive north towards the Gamboa Resort and arrive at your destination: an exciting Camino de Cruces Trail. The Camino de Cruces lies within Soberania National Park. This tropical rainforest offers excellent opportunities for nature enthusiasts. The area is well known for Howler monkeys, Coati, Collared anteaters, Iguana, and Agouties. Birding is also exceptional!
Drive back to Los Cuatro Tulipanes for a night of rest.
Day 4 - Pack your bags and drive towards the Coronado Hotel and Resort: a beach club and golf resort community under 50 minutes from Panama City, Panama. The 18-hole course was designed by legends George and Tom Fazio. This family resort doesn't just cater to golfers. The grounds also feature tennis courts, a spa, two swimming pools and Jacuzzis. An air-conditioned kid's club offers activities and movies with supervision. There are also billiard tables, an internet cafe, volleyball and beach soccer field for the enjoyment of kids and adults alike. Several restaurants, a bar and a late night disco offer additional entertainment. A shuttle takes guests to the resort's own beach club, with walking paths, a shady rancho and areas to relax.
Day 5 - 6 - Spend your day at the resort or head out on your own to visit new towns and see local attractions. Ask the staff at the Coronado about what you can do in the area, they'll be more than happy to help!
Day 7 - Drive back to the Albrook Airport, return your car and wait for the flight that will take you back home! The second you get back on the plane you'll be planning your next trip down here!
