Day 1: Upon your arrival to the Panama International Airport, a private air conditioned microbus will pick you up and carry you to the Las Monjas suite at Los Cuatro Tulipanes, a boutique property management company located in the heart of the most historic and beautiful part of Panama City: Casco Antiguo. This picturesque property was recently  restored and gives you the opportunity to experience life as a temporary resident in this unique part of the city. You will have the luxury of a fully self-sufficient apartment with all the benefits of a hotel.

Day 2: Learn more about Casco Antiguo along with Panama's cosmopolitan city center, the International Banking center, the Amador Causeway (Pacific entrance to the Canal), Las Americas Bridge, the Panama Canal (Miraflores Locks) and the Ruins of Old Panama City on a full day city and canal tour. Return to your apartment in time for a cozy dinner at a nearby bistro or cafe.

Day 3: We hope you're rested, because today you will be crossing a portion of the largest man-made wonder of the world: the Panama Canal. From the Flamenco Pier you will be transferred to Gamboa, where the Panama Canal Dredging Division is located. Navigate through the Gaillard Cut and go through Pedro Miguel Locks where the boat will start descending. Then descend 54 feet in the Miraflores locks, before making your way to the Pacific Ocean and returning to Flamenco Pier. An informative guide will lead you through every step of the transit as well as the history of the canal and its construction.

Day 4:
Your Tour: Panama Railroad Adventure & Portobelo, 1-2 People Enjoy a transfer from Panama City to Colón along the Panama Canal Railway -- one of the great train rides of the world! Along with learning about its colorful history, your Panama Railroad Adventure & Portobelo tour will bring you along a picturesque path across the Isthmus of Panama. The line flanks the Panama Canal passing through lush rain forests, cruising alongside the Canal’s locks, through the historic Gaillard Cut and gliding over slender causeways in Gatun Lake. After this wonderful adventure you will have the opportunity to explore the ruins of Portobelo.

Day 5: Today is a free opportunity to allow you time to rest and enjoy the beautiful Casco Antiguo area that has likely become your favorite part of Panama City by now!

Day 6: Returning to the spirit of adventure, today you will embark on an Embera Drua Indian Village Tour, visiting one of the 5 Indigenous tribes that still exist in the country. You will go by land and then a dugout canoe called a “piragua” all the way up the Chagres River to an indigenous village. You will see their hand crafts and botanical skills, enjoy their native food and learn more about the traditions and culture of this colorful society. Return to the Las Monjas suite for your final evening in Panama!

Day 7: Your historic tour of Panama has come to an end. Today you will take a private shuttle to the airport for your international flight home!
