This tour includes: transportation, guide, and entrance fees. Duration: 8 hours approx. Day 3: Panama Railroad Adventure & Portobelo Tour
Enjoy your transfer from Panama City to Colón in the Panama Canal Railway, one of the great train rides of the world. Along with its colorful history, the railroad follows a picturesque path across the Isthmus of Panama. The line flanks the Panama Canal passing through lush rain forest, cruising alongside the Canal’s locks, through the historic Gaillard Cut and gliding over slender causeways in Gatun Lake. After this wonderful adventure you will live the cultural experience in Portobelo and start your exploration of these ruins. You will return to Panama City via private ground transfer on an air-conditioned microbus. Day 4: Panama Canal Adventure
Depart from Panama City and travel to the Amador causeway, the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal. From here you will head to Balboa to the Administration building of the Panama Canal. Travel along the railroad passing by former military bases Albrook Airfield and Fort Clayton before arriving to the first set of locks. You will take a fast boat through the Panama Canal and through Gatun Lake (not traversing through the locks themselves). You will navigate your way up the waterway passing jungle islands and vessels making your way to Gatun Locks.
