Day 1 : Welcome to Panama! Upon your arrival we will meet you inside ofthe Tocumen International Airport and make sure that you get throughcustoms ok with all of your luggage. From there, you will pick up yourrental car, a mid-sized SUV, and make the short drive into
Panama Cityfor a two night stay at the Country Inn and Suites Amador,located in an exclusive address in Panama City as it is right on thePanama Canal.
Day2 : Sleep in a bit this morning as you're going to need your rest thenext several days. Make the drive West over the Panama Canal to themountain town of El Valle and check in to the beautiful Los Mandarinos Hotel.
Day 3 : Rise and shine, it's time to go Birding! Your guide willmeet you early this morning at your hotel and you will begin the driveup the mountain side to the entrance of the Gaital Hill Trail. Fromthere you will begin your light hike of 2.5 kilometers (1.55 miles).Your guide will point out all sorts of beautiful bird species along theway.
Day 4 : Continue your drive further Northwest to the ChiriquiProvince and the town of Cerro Punta for a stay at the famouns LosQuetzales Lodge. Rather than stay in the main part of the hotel, youwill continue about 25 minutes deeper into the rainforest for a stay intheir cabins.
Day 5 : Enjoy a private, full day tour of bird watching on the famous
Los Quetzales Trail. Stay in the cabins at Los Quetzales
Day 6 : Enjoy a private, full day tour of bird watching on a different partof the famous Los Quetzales Trail. Stay in the cabins at Los Quetzales.
Day 7 : Make the drive back to Panama City today for one additional night at the Country Inn and Suites.
Day 8 : Drive back to the Tocumen International Airport, return your rental car and fly home.
