Yandup Island Lodge is an eco-friendly paradise in Yandup island, right in the middle of the Kuna Yala reserve in Panama. Formerly known as
San Blas, the region is home to the Kuna tribe, known the world over for their organizational skills and centuries-old traditions.
Based on their knowledge, Yandup Island Lodge was built using local material and ancestral construction methods.
The hotel has ten cabins built in an octagonal shape, to symbolize ancient Kuna beliefs. Each of these cabins counts with a private deck (very convenient to watch some of the most glorious sunsets in the world), double and single beds, mosquito nets, bathroom and solar powered electricity all day long.
Cabin fare includes three daily meals consisting of fresh fruits, vegetables and exotic seafood straight out of the ocean. The restaurant also serves wine, soft drinks and beers for a small additional price. The staff in Yandup Island Lodge will provide you with exclusive attention and top notch service. Ask them about the countless activities and tours you can take around the archipelago!
From boat trips to the mangrove and exciting hikes through the forest-ending with a refreshing swim under a majestic waterfall-there is always something new and exciting to do in Yandup. Go bird watching or learn how to make Kuna crafts, then return to your cabin and relax as the sound of nature soothes your body and spirit. Yandup Island Lodge is truly an other-worldly experience!
