Change Your Perspective on this Undersea Route Through Costa Rica
Day 1: Fly into the Liberia International Airport where your ground transfer will be waiting to whisk you off on a quick 25 minute ride to the
Ocotal Beach Resort, which is situated on the North Pacific coast of Guanacaste. Ocotal serves as one of the best jumping off points for diving trips around the Roca Bruja, or Witch’s Rock, plus over 25 other local dive sites in the area!
Day 2-4: Enjoy free time at the resort or on the beach in between two full-day dive trips that include all equipment. You’ll see stunning schools of tropical fish, not to mention sea turtles, eels, sting rays, eagle rays, lobster and if you're lucky White Tip Sharks. Just a beginner? No problem! You would also have the option to do your PADI certification course at the resort, which includes 4 open water dives!
Day 5: After a quick transfer back to the Liberia airport you’ll take a domestic flight to Drake Bay on the south Pacific coast. Here you’ll stay at the waterfront
Aguila de Osa Inn, which is located just north of the most bio-diverse wildlife and nature reserve in all of Costa Rica: the Corcovado National Park. Enjoy family style meals (included in your stay), cozy wood cabins with great views of nature and the ocean below.
Day 6-9: Welcome to jungle life! Your stay at Aguila de Osa includes two full-day dive trips around Isla de Caño. See giant schools of beautiful tropical fish, nurse sharks, sea turtles and more while diving in this protected marine zone, which is also one of the top few places to go diving in Costa Rica. Spend your free time at a nearby beach, exploring the waters around the hotel by kayak or taking a stroll through the local village. You’ll never want to leave this relaxing, natural paradise.
Day 10: Your trip to the two best diving spots in Costa Rica has come to an end. An early morning flight will have you back to the
San Jose airport for your international flight home.
