You Won't Miss Anything on this Trip of a Lifetime!
Day 1: First stop, Costa Rica. Upon arrival, you will head to La Finca Rosa Blanca, a beautiful inn situated above the Central Valley overlooking San Jose's city lights for your first memorable evening. Day 2-4: Transfer to La Fortuna, home of the Arenal Volcano. Your next three days will be spent in a private cottage at La Mansion Arenal, an exclusive resort set in front of Arenal Lake. Your days will be filled with adventure from an ATV tour through the jungle, a hike to the volcano, and a leisurely afternoon spent soaking in the Tabacon Hot Springs. Day 5-7: After breakfast you will travel by private shuttle to La Mariposa Hotel just outside the Manuel Antonio National Park. Here you will be surrounded by a 280 degree view of the Pacific Ocean, cited as one of the best in the world. The Spanish Mediterranean style architecture creates a romantic ambiance amid several infinity pools and swim up bars. Spend the next day getting to know the rain forest on a Canopy Tour that kicks off with a short horseback ride deep into the forest. Next, explore the Manuel Antonio National Park, wandering the system of trails that take you between look out points and secluded ocean coves. Day 8: A private transfer will pick you up from La Mariposa and take you to San Jose where you will spend your last evening in Costa Rica at the charming Hotel Alta, located in the mountains above the city, only twenty minutes from the airport for your flight to Panama the next morning! Day 9: A morning transfer to the San Jose International Airport will have you flying south on a twin-engine plane for a one hour trip to the city of David, Panama. A quick private transfer will take you to the mountain town of Boquete, where you will stay at Los Establos B&B, a small distinctive hotel that sits on a 12-acre export-quality coffee plantation. Day 10-11: A combination of whitewater excitement, spectacular panoramas and friendly brushes with locals will shape your first full day in Panama. Choose from class IV rapids or milder float trips perfect for beginners and families. Then get another early start to hike the Los Quetzales Trail. With a little luck, you will view the resplendent quetzal, a divine figure in indigenous legends. Day 12-13: A private transfer will pick you up at Los Establos and take you to the tiny coastal town of Boca Chica. You will board a small boat, and be whisked away to the secluded island of Boca Brava and the Boutique Hotel Cala Mia! Cala Mia is made up of just 11 exquisitely designed bungalow suites. 5% of room rates go toward supporting local indigenous populations, some of whom work at the hotel. Spend your full day on Boca Brava relaxing by the freshwater pool, or take a private boat tour with a local guide to the nearby uninhabited islands with pristine, white sand beaches! Day 14: Refreshed and renewed, today you will journey back to David by boat and shuttle for a short flight to Panama City. The change of environment will be invigorating as you arrive to Panama's bustling, cosmopolitan capital! Head straight to The Bristol, an ultra-luxury jewel unmatched in its dedication to service and hospitality. Be sure to soak in the nightlife on Calle Uruguay as well! Day 15: Enjoy the sights and sounds of Panama City on a full-day City & Canal Tour. Start at the Miraflores Locks, located at the Pacific entrance to the Canal where your guide will let you in on the secrets and history surrounding the Canal’s construction. Then visit the rest of Panama City including: the modern urban center, the beautiful historic "Casco Viejo" district, and the waterfront Amador Causeway. Day 16: Your combo trip to the exotic Central American countries of Costa Rica and Panama has sadly come to an end! Your private transfer will take you to the Tocumen International Airport for your flight home. |
