Day 1 - Welcome to
Costa Rica! Fly into
San Jose where one of our representatives will meet you and take you to a private transfer on way to the
Grano de Oro Hotel. Converted from a Tropical Victorian mansion, the 32-room hotel maintains
the warmth and comfort of a private home. All rooms are furnished in
lavish Victorian styles including wrought-iron beds and rich fabrics plus it features one of the best restaurants in the country!
Day 2 - Take a private transfer from San Jose to Monteverde, where you will stay at
El Establo, this family owned lodge has 80 comfortable rooms with large living space, a
solar heated pool (the only one in Monteverde) and jacuzzi. The property
also features a lake and private cloud forest trails, a look-out, a
basketball and volleyball court and a great restaurant.
Day 3 - Go on an exciting canopy tour! This tour combines natural trails and cables that
will allow you to observe the forest from the ground and from the canopy
as well. The tour guides have been professionally trained to provide a
safe and adventurous trip through the canopy.
Day 4 - Experience the forest from the skies, in a wonderful Sky Tram Tour. The Sky Tram will lead you up to the Continental Divide and to one of
the highest mountains of Monteverde. After an exciting Tram ride, enjoy
the hanging bridges of the Sky Walk, a guided tour that combines trails
and suspension bridges with lengths of even 984 feet and heights above
the canopy of the
Monteverde cloud forest.
Day 5 - Take a private transfer from Monteverde to Playa Tambor where you will stay at Tango Mar Beach Spa & Golf Resort.
Conveniently located near some great sites and nature spots, the hotel
gives you access to tours such as sport fishing, bird-watching, rain
forest hikes, snorkeling, scuba diving, horseback riding and more.
The spacious rooms are right on the beach and so close to the ocean that
in high tide the surf touches the base of the building.
Day 6 - 9 - Take advantage of your stay in Tango Mar and explore the property, lounge by the pool or sunbathe in the beautiful beaches. The hotel offers spa services and features a stunning golf course, as well as beautiful gardens and superb eating options. Head out and visit the area or ask the staff about suggestions for local attractions and adventure tours.
Day 10 - Your holiday has come to an end! Take a private transfer back to the San Jose Airport where your flight back home awaits.
