 Day
1:
Fly to the San Jose international airport. Upon arrival you will
be met by one of our representatives, where your itinerary will
be explained and questions answered.
You will also
be provided with a packet of vouchers and information about your
trip. Take a 10-minute transfer to the nearby
Hampton Inn
for your first
night stay in Costa Rica, continental breakfast included.
Forgot snacks for the children? That's not a problem as there is
a 24-hour convenience store located on the hotel grounds.
Day 2:
Take a 6 hour transfer-tour to the Arenal area. While in
route to Arenal you will visit the La Paz Waterfall Gardens
learning about the diverse life of butterflies and humming
birds, plus experience the majestic waterfalls! Stay at the
Arenal Kioro Hotel
located 10 kilometers Northwest from La Fortuna in San Carlos,
in front of the majestic Arenal Volcano. Titoku Hot
Springs is located only 7 minutes from your hotel, it offers 8
differnet hot springs pools, with hydro-massage, each pool comes
in different sizes and temperatures, a truly relaxing
experience.
Day 3:
Take
the
Arenal Hanging Bridges Tour
where
a Naturalist will guide you through natural history opening the
doors to the fascinating and colorful Tropical Rain Forest
World. Stay at the Arenal Kioro Hotel.
Day 4:
At
Restaurant Heliconias enjoy breakfast while taking a last view
of the Arenal Volcano. A private transfer will take you to
the local airstrip. This short flight will save you from
the slow and bumpy roads of Costa Rica. After your arrival
in Quepos, transportation will be provided to the beautiful
Manuel Antonio where you will stay at
Si Como no Hotel.
Here, guests can visit nearby beaches, the National Park and
mangroves. Not to mention, the hotel's own Wildlife Nature
Exhibits. Guests of Si Como No have access to water sports
and local shopping as well.
Day
5: Use the hotel's free shuttle service to explore the
natural beauty of Manuel Antonio National Park. A great
diversity of wildlife
awaits you, as well as the history and geography of the area are
pointed
out during this guided walk along spectacular beaches and
jungle. This is a great opportunity to take take
environmental pictures and gather information for your child's
future class projects! Tonight dine in at one of Si Como
No's two extremely popular restaurants, Rico Tico Bar 'n Grill
serving a Tico/Tex-mex menu, and the Claro Que Si! seafood
restaurant with an authentic Caribbean accent.
Day 6:
Head down to the beautiful white sand beach and take a dip
into the clear beautiful waters of Manuel Antonio. Be sure
to bring some colones(Costa Rican money) with you, some great
souvenirs can be found from the vendors along the small beach
road.
Day 7:
Soak up
the morning sun at the beach and than
take an afternoon Catamaran Coastal Adventure
cruise. Enjoy not only incredible sunsets, and the opportunity
to view nature's wonders up close, but an invaluable educational
experience for your children with a naturalist guiding their
lessons across the deep blue sea! Stay at Si Como No Hotel.
Day 8:
Transport to Quepos Airport for a domestic flight to San Jose
where you'll await your flight home.
