Ocotal Beach Resort is a small luxurious hideaway where visitors relax and enjoy the marvels of the Pacific Ocean in year round summer weather. Playa Ocotal is a calm sandy beach about 1/3 mile in length and ideal for swimming, snorkeling and beach activities. Although many visitors come to Ocotal for its world class sport fishing and exciting scuba diving, other activities like tennis and sea kayaks are available to guests. The property is only 2 miles from the fishing village and vacation center of Playas del Coco for guests looking to enjoy some nightlife. Ocotal was completely remodeled and renovated in 1999 and offers lovely surroundings with luxurious living quarters. There are three separate swimming pools located in different areas of the hotel, all landscaped with beautiful tropical plants and with views of the Pacific Ocean. The hotel consists of 59 rooms: standards, bungalows and suites. All rooms have two Queen beds or one King sized bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, cable TV, telephone with direct international access, coffee maker, safety deposit box, hair dryer, hot water, private terrace or balcony and ocean view. The lobby and restaurant sit atop a small peninsula surrounded by water on 3 three sides with a swimming pool below, and is regarded as one of Costa Rica's most picturesque spots.
