Flor Blanca is the creation of Susan Money and Greg Mullins,
who built and ran Hotel Sueno del Mar in Tamarindo. After 10
years of inn keeping, they found Sueno del Mar could not
accommodate the number of people wanting to vacation with
them in Costa Rica, and so began the search for a new dream, a
new vision in a more remote tropical location. After an
extensive search, they settled on a remote part of the Nicoya
Peninsula, not far from Mal Pais, but far removed from
crowds.
 In April
of 2000,
construction began on Flor Blanca Resort. Located on 7 acres of jungle
beach front, nestled amongst Palm trees, Beach Almond trees,
and the incredibly fragrant Plumeria trees (Flor Blanca) today
sit
10 spacious villas. Each one boasts views of the blue Pacific
from the bedrooms as well as the living area and deck.
The bedrooms were designed for the romantic at heart. You
choose whether you prefer to sleep under mosquito netting with
the windows and doors wide open to the night time tropical
breezes, or turn on your temperature control a/c and snuggle
up. There is telephone access from all bedrooms for those of
you who must plug in your laptops to see if the rest of the
world is having nearly as much fun as you are!
 Review: At
the end of the day, slip into your bathtub in the large,
open air bathroom and star gaze while soaking away the days
pleasures. Or, hop into the shower and enjoy the lighted
gardens which often house the local iguanas! And when
you finally wake up, head over to the incredible
beachfront open air dining room for Flor Blanca's complimentary breakfast. Feeling lazy? Have breakfast sent
to your room! The dining at Flor Blanca is gourmet. We expect that you will
agree the food, served in exquisite stone terraced
dining room overlooking the Pacific, will be ONE of the
highlights of your vacation. With amazing menus and amazing chefs,

may be in the jungle, but you are not camping out!
 Enjoy
miles of spectacular surf. Take a yoga, aerobics, karate,
or exercise class in
the teak floored, palm roofed yoga center all while in view of
the ocean. Spend a few hours in the "art room," work with clay, fire a pot, paint a picture, allow your inner
artist to escape! Hidden in the trees is your screened
in workout area, here you will find the latest universal
gym. Sign up for a personal trainer. Schedule a massage, the masseuse will come to
your villa where you can enjoy total privacy and quiet.
Horse back ride with guides, explore
local farms and meet the local people. No cars, no
traffic, just green rolling hills and ocean vistas. Hike our
national parks with our on-staff biologist. Exercise
while learning all about the local flora and fauna. Kayak the Rio Bongo or do some open ocean kayaking,
your
guides will lead you safely around the sleeping cayman. Your
