El Establo is situated in the heart of the tourist zone of
Monteverde, 7 km from the Santa Elena Rain Forest and 4 km
from the Monteverde Cloud Forest. Friendly Quaker

you in our hotel, set in a private 150 acre farm (50%
protected primary forest) adjacent to the Monteverde Reserve.
El Establo has Suites with one king, one queen and one single
bed,
loft with a king size bed, a private balcony with stunning views,
a sitting area with rocking chairs, spacious bathrooms with hot water,
and separate shower and bath tub. Junior Suites are also
offered with
two queen beds and sitting area, a balcony with views, large bathrooms with hot water,
and separate shower and bath tub. The Standard economic rooms
have
private bathrooms with hot water, telephone, one queen and one twin
size bed.
Common areas include a
snack bar, an exclusive look-out, a private forest with
trails, a private water system with
natural spring water, a new international restaurant
"Las Riendas" with seating for 180 people, and 7
cable TV lounge areas with direct TV.
Review: El Establo is a Quaker / Costa Rican family owned Lodge with
80 comfortable standard rooms, plus brand new large living
rooms, a solar heated pool (the only one in Monteverde) and
Jacuzzi. The property also features a
lake and private cloud forest trails, a basketball and
volleyball court, and a wonderful restaurant.
