The Silver King Lodge is one of the world’s best tarpon and snook lodges. Located near the Nicaraguan border, world record fish have been found near the Rio Colorado and tarpon average over 100 lbs. This luxury fishing lodge offers just 10 rooms, all of which come with queen beds, private bathrooms and now wireless internet. The property also has satellite TV, a pool, jacuzzi, tackle shop, and even a nice spa.

Day 1: Fly into San Jose, Costa Rica where you will be met inside the airport and taken to your waiting private transfer. You’ll spend your first night at the beautiful Crown Plaza in downtown San Jose where you can enjoy their casino, gym & spa, and a nice restaurant.

Day 2: You will be picked early at 5:30 AM and board your private charter plane for a short 30 minute flight out to the remote northeastern corner of Costa Rica. Here you will stay at the nicest fishing lodge on Costa Rica’s Caribbean Coast, the Silver King Lodge. Built in 1990, the Silver King Lodge has established itself as the premier destination for tarpon and snook fishing. Upon arrival you’ll settle into your room, eat breakfast, and get a quick overview of the lodge and fishing guidelines. As soon as you are ready you’ll head out fishing on your own boat with your private tarpon guide. You will fish until about 11:30 AM when you’ll head back for lunch and a quick rest. At about 1:00 PM you’ll head back out fishing until you come in for good around 4:00 PM.

Day 3: Wake up and eat a full breakfast before you head out for another day of tarpon fishing! After another day on the water come back and enjoy a full dinner and then relax at the bar and watch satellite TV or relax your muscles with a massage or a dip in the new hot tub.

Day 4: Full day of sport fishing! Another great benefit of the Silver King Lodge’s private guides is that it allows you to fish where you want and for what you want. If you are tired from fighting tarpon and needing a change of scenery, you can fish the backwater canals for machaca and rainbow bass or go out into the Atlantic Ocean for a day of off-shore fishing for dorado, wahootuna, and even sailfish.

Day 5: Last day of fishing! Go out and get the one that got away or take your last shot at catching that world record tarpon!

Day 6: Get up early for one last delicious breakfast before the Silver King Lodge takes you to the Barra de Colorado Airstrip. Take a 30 minute flight back to San Jose for your international flight home.
