Length: 5-7 nights
Price: from $2,400 – $3,800 pp
Places to Visit: Osa Peninsula

Day 1: Arrive into San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO) where you will be met and taken to your waiting private transfer. Spend your first night in Costa Rica’s capital city where you will stay at the beautiful Grano de Oro. Located in downtown San Jose, this converted Victorian Mansion welcomes you to Costa Rica in style and has arguably the best restaurant in the entire city.
Day 2: Take a quick 50 minute domestic flight from San Jose down to Drake Bay in the gorgeous Osa Peninsula. There are no roads here so once you land you’ll jump in a panga boat and take a short ride to your hotel, the Aguila de Osa. The hotel has just 13 rooms total and is the premier eco-luxury lodge in Drake Bay. Each room comes with ceilings fans, mini-fridge, and private bathroom with hot water shower. Your stay here includes all of your meals and two guided tours – one to the Corcovado National Park and the other out to Cano Island for snorkeling and relaxing on the beach.
Day 3: Take a tour of the amazing Corcovado National Park, referred to by National Geographic as “the most biologically intense place on Earth!” This is Costa Rica’s most prized national park and is home to over 400 of species of birds, 140 different mammals including pumas, jaguars, sloths and all four monkeys found in Costa Rica, 116 amphibians and reptiles, and finally over 500 different trees. Your expert guide will point out wildlife in the rain forest before taking you to the San Pedrillo Waterfall where you can take a refreshing swim.
Day 4: Fishing day! Head out on the 31′ Palm Beach Express named the Albatros. Your captain, Walton, is local to the area and has been fishing at the Aguila de Osa for over 15 years so he knows the waters as well as anyone. The cobalt blue waters are home to huge numbers of sailfish, large schools of yellow-fin tuna, and of course marlin. Several world records have been set within a short run from the resort so you never quite know what an off-shore day will bring you.
Day 5: Head out to the beautiful Caño Island for a day of snorkeling and relaxing on a beach few tourists ever lay eyes on. Located twelve miles off the coast, Caño Island is not only a national park and marine reserve but also one of Costa Rica’s largest islands. Its clear waters and abundant marine life make it perhaps the best snorkeling location in Costa Rica as you can see hundreds of species of fish, turtles, octopus, rays, eels, and white tip sharks. When you get tired from snorkeling enjoy a fresh made lunch on the beach near the ranger station.
Day 6: Fishing day! Head back off-shore for more sailfish & marlin or try to catch a dorado or yellow-fin tuna to bring back to the hotel for dinner.
Day 7: Fishing day! On your last day try a half day of in-shore fishing for grouper, snapper, jacks, and the famous roosterfish.
Day 8: Take a 50 minute flight back to San Jose and board your international flight home!
