Ocotal Beach Resort was completely remodeled and renovated in 1999 and offers lovely surroundings with luxurious living quarters. There are only 59 rooms – standard rooms, bungalows, & suites. All rooms have two queen beds or one king size bed, AC, ceiling fan, cable TV, telephone with direct international access, coffee maker, safe box, hair dryer, hot water, and a private terrace or balcony with ocean view.

The lobby and restaurant sit atop a knoll surrounded by the Pacific Ocean on three sides. There are three separate swimming pools on the property and the famous infinity pool offers one of the most spectacular views of the Pacific sunset in Costa Rica. Ocotal’s restaurant and bar serve from an international menu specializing in fresh seafood.

This hotel has long been popular among sport fisherman who take advantage of the world class in-shore fishing just minutes from the hotel and the proximity to off-shore fishing. If you like scuba diving then this is the place for you too. Not only are they close to major dive spots like Isla Murcielago and the Catalina Islands, the Ocotal Beach Resort staff is very active in preserving the marine life and reefs that surround them. They have constructed permanent, concrete moorings for dive boats to use in an effort to minimalize the damage anchors constantly being dropped cause.
