December Fishing Report for Crocodile Bay
December 27th, 2007 Posted in Fishing ReportsMarlin continue to be around in huge numbers at Crocodile Bay in Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula. Except for a four day mini-draught, at least one marlin has been landed every day in December. Mike Pizza finally caught his first marlin ever and Allen Ryals notched another one under his belt. There were also two honeymoon couples who created some memories at Crocodile Bay. Brian Tooms and wife Patricia tried fly fishing on saltwater for the first time and wound up catching at 200 lb marlin. Jonathan and Lynn Fine went out and caught three blue marlin in one day!
Peg & Jim Grooket used Crocodile Bay’s flexibility to meet their needs - Peg fished off-shore and bagged two marlin while Jim fished in-shore in a different boat and caught about a dozen roosterfish. The in-shore fishing continues to improve with the dry season bringing clearer waters. The mahi-mahi numbers are great, pompano are plentiful, and the usual suspects snapper and roosterfish are popping up everywhere.
