Kayak Fishing in Guanacaste
November 9th, 2007 Posted in Fishing News, Fishing TipsFor those of you who have never tried, or perhaps never even heard of kayak fishing, it is something every angler needs to do at least once. There is nothing like being towed around the bay by the fish you have hooked on the other end of the line.
For those who have never tried it, our guide Ralph Solano, offers kayak fishing lessons in the tranquil Flamingo Bay. This will let you get accustomed to the kayak and learn how to properly fight the fish once you have it hooked. The key of course is balance, which is easily achieved by simply putting your feet on both sides of the kayak once the fish starts to run. For the experienced kayaker and angler, Ralph also offers full fledged fishing trips launched from a larger boat. This allows you to not only get to the fishing grounds quicker, but also allows you to follow the bite to the hot spots. On your day kayak fishing you can expect to catch anything from yellow fin tunas to roosterfish.

Is January a good time of year for this kind of fishing?
