Cala Luna is a nice hotel close to Tamarindo. It’s nice because it is out of the way (all the way at the end of Tamarindo. The beach is very quiet and it’s like a 15 minute walk to Tamarindo Beach. I wasn’t impressed with the standard rooms because they were very simple and there are no ocean view rooms. The hotel isn’t right on the beach like Tamarindo Diria.

Tamarindo Diria is a beach front hotel located in the heart of Tamarindo Beach. The front desk is located in the main entrance of the hotel, right in front of the swimming pool, which makes a really fresh and cool atmosphere to all clients upon arrival and check in. Next to the pool there are two restaurants, The Diria for Breakfast and dinner, and Matapalo for lunch and dinner, located right on the beach.

Capitan Suizo is probably one of my favorite hotels in Tamarindo. It manages to give you a sense of privacy while being walking distance from downtown! I think it’s a perfect spot to relax during the day and hit the Tamarindo bars at night.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to visit the stunning Reserva Conchal. As soon as you enter the property, the expanse of land, the beauty of the buildings and the shear care put into every client’s stay is made apparent. The Hotel Capitan Suizo is located just outside of the beach town of Tamarindo in Playa Langosta. The advantage of the location is that it is not directly in the busy town of Tamarindo so can enjoy the peace and quiet that Tamarindo offers. The hotel is located on 1 hectare of land and the hotel also owns another hectare in front of the property.

After nearly 6 months inland I was given the chance to announce my return to the Pacific Coast in style at the incredible Malinche Condos on the 930 hectare Reserva Conchal property. Upon arrival myself and Nick were treated to some “heavy hors d’oeurves” which included raw chicken although the rest of the food was nice and then we were given a short presentation and met the staff who were all very friendly, helpful and as accommodating as one could expect.
