The location of Ocotal is beautiful, from the restaurant you have a sweeping 180 degree view of the Pacific Ocean below and you can see a vast array of boats in the bay there. The location however is rather isolated as there are no bars or shops in Ocotal, they are all in Coco 10 minutes up the road. The hotel itself is great value for the money, especially for fishing or diving. We did fishing from Ocotal and had a great time catching two Sailfish, one Mahi Mahi and a Roosterfish. The room was spacious and comfortable, it really was the view that you kept getting drawn to. The restaurant was good and the grounds very nice. If I could have changed anything I would have liked to have been closer to the bars and shops.
